Obituary

On August 26th, 2018, the Lord took William "Bill" A. Miller home, giving him the rest he searched for, the peace he sought. Bill, Iichiliitchikasshekooahkinnek "Rides the Best Horses", a member of the Whistling Water clan, was born on March 25, 1959 to Victor Miller and Faith Faraway in Newport Beach, California. Gifted with ambition that would make lawyers jealous, Bill started work at an early age. His work in auto-body repair launched him into a career as an aircraft paint technician for decades in cities throughout our nation and even taking him to China.....we all have likely seen his work with all these painted planes soaring over us. While he was a hard worker, Bill was also quite the entertainer. He would often disable those surrounding him with outrageous laughter while exercising his unique humor. With no doubt, he proved to be one of a kind! He also delighted his family with his creative culinary skills, hunting, strength training, shopping, cooking, eating, reading and praying/interceding. Most of all, he enjoyed spoiling his mother whom he cherished. Discovering the love and reality of our Lord in his thirties, Bill experienced quite the wrestle with his new faith before finding his place in God. It was evident he kept God's word in his heart as he was always quoting scripture and practicing his benevolence. In his later years, Bill realized he had suffered a life with bipolar disorder. While he lamented his inability to have raised his children, his sorrows were lessened with every moment he got to share with his children. Enveloped with love, Bill always had something good to say about his children. In his last years, Bill was ready to go home... and God knew that. So the Lord kept his appointment with Bill while the rest of us will have to wait our turn... until we are all together again. We love you Billy Boy and will never lose the love and laughter you brought into our hearts! Bill is survived by his children: Misty Blue (Andy) Bolick, Blake, Candace and Chad; his mother: Faith Faraway; his siblings: Charitina Fritzler, Stephen Miller, Stacy (Bob) Reinking, Tomi Gray, Brandon and Medina Birdfaraway; and all their children: Glenn and David Plenty Hawk (of Phillip "Glenn" Plenty Hawk Jr. 1955-1977), Shannon Yellowtail, Amber (Troy) Swittenburg, Lonny Fritzler, Teyon (Stacey) Fritzler, Cameron Church, Jennifer (Marc) Estridge, Dena Mock, Courtney Reinking, Jyton (Roger) Schrotenboer, Jevon, Jubil, Vykilyz and Izrael Birdfaraway. Also our extended family - Peters, Not Afraids, Bear Cranes, Johnsons, White Shirts, Yellowtails, Stewarts, Fritzlers, Reynolds, Medicine Crows, Plenty Hawks, Austins, Barkers, Howes, Fights Well Knowns, Little Nests, Red Fields, Cummins, Bear Claws, Millers, Haveners, Stevens, Shinderlines, Simpsons, Bakers, Jappes, Langleys, Farkels, Red Stars, Bright Wings and any others we might have missed (please forgive us at this difficult time). Bill was greeted in Heaven by his older brother Phillip "Glenn" Plenty Hawk Jr., his father Victor Miller and his grandparents Stephen Bird Faraway and Malinda "Shug" Yates. Funeral service will be 10 am, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Dahl Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Lodge Grass Cemetery.

The love of my life I wished I knew your time was near so I could see you hug you and tell you I love you. I missed you so much but I never knew where to find you. I wished I could have saved you. I want to be angry and mad but I know you wouldn’t want that but to be happy you are now free and at peace. I pray one day we meet again pure as heavens scent no shame no tears no broken spirit I love you Bill always will. Thank you for sharing a part of your life with me. I’m so sorry Faith, Tomi, J’ton, Brandon and family. 💔🙏🏽 Kathy Rae Eder 😘

Wish I could have spent more time with him. Nearly 20 years last my eyes seen him and hands touched him. I talked to him over the phone shortly before Candace gave birth to his Granddaughter. I still remember that conversation to this day. I always wanted to call him again, or go out to visit him in MT, but I always pushed it aside and told myself another time. Now he is gone and I won't get to share that Father and Son relationship with him I always wanted to have that I could, and should have pursued... Thank you to everyone for setting this up and being with him these past years. You all made sure he knew you loved and cared for him during his life, which I failed to do as a son... I love and miss you Dad, always have. I am sure we will meet again some day. We'll make up the lost time when that day comes.

I am really, really going to miss you Bill. We had some great talks about cars! The last time I saw you, was at Wal-Mart and you looked strong and healthy and that is how I will forever remember you...... until we meet again on the other side of the camp. Give Dan and Donny a huge, huge hug from me.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in Jesus words at John 5:28,29. There Jesus promised a resurrection of our loved ones, saying that the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. These resurrected ones will inherit the earth, as Jesus spoke about in Matthew chapter 5. Then, under the rule of God’s Kingdom, they will enjoy life the way God originally intended, in perfect health with no sorrow, pain or death. (Psalms 37:29. Isaiah 33:24. Revelation 21:4). What a wonderful time that will be! If you would like to learn more about this hope, please visit jw.org. Please accept my condolences.

I have a lot of fun memories of Bill, when we were really young that I still enjoy sharing. We'll share when we see each other. He was one handsome, pain in the neck! I say that respectfully.I loved him.
