Obituary
Adele D. Montez Adele “Lolly” Delores Montez was born on September 18, 1953 to parents Joseph and Josephine Moncada. Lolly left us to join the kingdom of God on Monday December 19, 2016. Her battle with liver cancer took her too soon. During her last couple of days she was in the care of Riverstone Hospice. Lolly had various passions from cooking to singing her church solos. She always made exquisite baked goods for any occasion. She was an extremely wonderful cook. She loved to knit and listen to K-Love on her way to church. Lolly was an amazing teacher where she began at Head Start and ended at Little Seeds. She taught Pre-K, then onto teaching the 3-4 year old class. Lolly loved those children with all of her heart. She would always call them “Her Kids!” Lolly loved her grandkids with every inch of her body, every year sick or not she would bake from scratch Birthday cakes for them. Lolly is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Joseph and Philip Moncada. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Rueben Tony Montez; her two beautiful daughters Amelia (Steven) Hill and Crystal Moncada-Helton; her three wonderful grandchildren Drew (Shanleigh) Hill, Jake Hill, and Jenifer Hill; her loving and beautiful sisters Linda (Carl) Rivera, Sandi (Jerry) Taylor, Betty (Stan) Mascarena, Stephanie (Jay) Warshefskie; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. The family gives a special thank you to Riverstone Hospice, New Life Church and their Amazing Congregation, to her admirable Goddaughter (niece) Maria and her son Jaydon Arredondo, to all of the employees and children at Little Seeds, and to Sandy Wong and employees and families of Wells Fargo Bank, to Linda and Carl Rivera for being there day and night, and to Mary and Manuel Montez for being there and who never missed a Sunday for an after church lunch and the fellowship they had. Lolly was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She never failed to make an impact and inspire the lives of everyone she met. She was a true woman of faith and a follower of God. Lolly will truly be missed by her loved ones and forever in our hearts.

Ms. Lolly, you were an amazing woman, a great friend, and a very loving person ! You had so much compassion and helped others. You were there for so many people, especially for me. You will be truly missed by all. I will always remember you and I will never forget you ! I will miss you always. Love Cheryl.

I remember Lolly as a fantastic cook when I was the director at Little Seeds. She shared her recipe for Homemade Rolls and every time I make those, I think of her. She was a faith-filled woman who genuinely loved young children. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Peace be all of you during this difficult time. Sharon

I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of Adele Montez. I am truly sorry for the lost that your family is feeling. Experiencing the lost of a beloved family member is one of the hardest experience that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take comfort in knowing that God never intent for us to deal with sickness or death. But have assure in this wonderful promise that God holds out to all of us. He promise each of us that very soon he is going to reunite us back with all those loved ones that we have lost. (John 5:28,29) Until that time, cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of Mrs. Adele. These precious memories will console the family in the day's ahead.
