Phyllis Moorman

PHYLLIS ANN MOORMAN Phyllis Ann Moorman was called home to our Lord on January 7, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Phyllis was born in Lewiston, ID on November 5, 1935 the daughter of Harold and Marie Weisgerber White. She was always very proud of her heritage, being the last direct ancestor of the first European boy child born in sight of land on the Mayflower. His name was Peregrine White. The family later moved to St. Marys, Idaho where she graduated from high school. Phyllis spent time in Couer D'alene where she worked as a bookkeeper for Albertson's Grocery and was later transferred to a new store in Billings, MT. It was here where she met and married Everett George Moorman. They had one daughter. Phyllis then went to work for Kelly & Kelly Accounting where she stayed for over thirty years. Her intelligence was astonishing. After retiring she enjoyed many winters and many friends in Arizona where she loved the sunshine. Phyllis always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she met. She always said “If I can help at least one person today and not hurt anyone, then I've had a good day.” This is truly how she lived her life. Phyllis was always a true lady. She loved animals and they loved her. She was always willing to dog or cat sit for anyone that needed her. Phyllis enjoyed reading, crosswords, brain puzzles and anything that might challenge her. She loved music and playing the piano which she did mostly in private, thinking she wasn't good enough for an audience. She was. Phyllis will be deeply missed by everyone who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett in 2002, parents, twin infant brothers and her sister. She leaves behind her dear special friend and companion, Lonnie Cowell who saw and helped her through her battle to the very end; her daughter Shelley (Bryan) Stidham of W.S.S., MT; granddaughters: Nicole Nelson of South Jordan, UT, Natalie Nelson and great grandson Jackson of Bozeman, MT; step daughter Laura Rogers; 4 step grandchildren of CA; step daughter Kathei McMullen of Enfield, CT; several nieces and nephews; many, many friends who loved and respected her. “I love you mama….until we meet again.” Memorial services for Phyllis will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
