To the Family......I never knew Mr. Beery but was reading his Tribute in The San Antonio Express News this morning. I was moved by the account of his amazing, long life and the sacrifices this hero made to our country. His record of service in WW II, like so many others of this greatest generation, secured victory and preserved the freedom that we all enjoy today. Of course the war years were only a small portion of his life but yet so profound and important to our freedom. As you lay this warrior to rest and celebrate his long and full life, I pray you find peace in knowing that he leaves behind a grateful nation .
