Obituary
Thomas William Murphy was born October 18, 1973 in Tucson, Arizona to Kathy and James Murphy. Tom died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at home of a massive heart attack. His mother was with him, and we take some comfort knowing he wasn't alone. Tom had many interests, including hunting, fishing, camping and playing Texas Hold'em, for which he was once ranked as one of Montana's top five poker dealers. Survivors include his mother Kathy (Darrell) Devitt, Billings; father James (Laurie) Murphy, Billings; daughter Justina; son Liam; brother Paul Murphy, Seattle, WA; step-sister, Lindsey (Matthew) McDonnell, Billings; step-brother Sam Diemert, Dayton, OH; grandfather Eugene Murphy, Billings; grandmother Laura Mattheis, Billings; uncles Gordon (Jonnie) Mattheis, Greenbay, WI, John (Diane) Mattheis, Stewart Mattheis, Joe Murphy, Jerry (Mary) Murphy, Kenny Murphy, all from Billings and Tom (Mary) Murphy, Livingston, along with numerous cousins and extended family. Tom also leaves behind many lifelong friends that were always by his side through thick and thin. You, and Tom, know who you are. Service: Memorial Services for Tom will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment of ashes will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Tom buddy, you left us too soon. It's been 3 or 4 years since we last ran into each other, but it was always "good times" when we did. Unfortunately, I won't be at the services due to a fishing engagement with my son but I'm sure you understand. The first fish of the trip is in your honor Tom. I'll be looking up to heaven right after we land it. RIP brother!
