Jerry Wayne Nelson, 59, passed away on October 16, 2016, in Billings, Montana. Jerry was born to Stella (Brown) Riojas and Kenneth Nelson on October 7, 1957 in San Diego, California. Jerry and Linda (Arstein) were united in marriage on December 24, 1979. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Linda; daughter Dawn; and sons Derek (Melissa), Darren (Tasha) and Dustin; seven grandchildren Mashaela, Dylan, Devin, MaKenna, Cyrus, Isaiah and Makenzie; his mother Stella; sisters Tina (Bob) Frey, Linda Wagner; brother Mitchell Riojas; his buddies Kit Cat, Jenny and his chirpies. We love you Jer!! Visitation will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday, October 20 with funeral service at 10:00 am Friday at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Dear Linda and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss Jerry so much , he has been such a good friend for 26 years. We have got to know all of his family and he has known ours. Every time we ate out with him it was 3 hours of laughing. He was alway s there when we needed him, Dr Reynolds counted on him for every thing. One story that really sticks in my mind and i won't go in to detail is the fishing line story in Helena. We shared more laughs over that. Jerry interviewed my Dad when he was in nursing home at 96 yr old and got amazing information. We loved that guy and will miss him so much. Sorry could not be there as Marty was in middle of chemotherapy. Jeanette and Marty
