I knew Shane when he was a student at City College and am sad to hear he is gone. He did very well and was extremely kind and quiet. I thought highly of him and could tell he was bright, respectful and brought up well. He will be missed by faculty, staff and students. Prayers for his family and friends. May I offer my sincere condolences. It’s heartbreaking when death separates us from our loved ones no matter how young or how old they may happen to be. And especially in such a senseless way. We are reminded in the Bible that there is One who sees our distress and pain and has promised (soon) that death will be done away with....swallowed up forever. (Isaiah 25:8). He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again. (John 5:28,29). I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on the life of Shane, and the precious memories left behind, that you will also find much comfort in God’s promises to us for the near future, for they will not fail to come true. (Titus 1:2). My deepest sympathy to you.
