Agnes Nichols

On Monday, January 9, 2012, at the age of 84, Agnes K. Nichols went to be with her Lord. Agnes (Aggy) passed away at a Billings assisted living facility. Agnes was born the daughter of Jacob and of Juliana (Kraft) Kittler on January 11, 1927 in Beulah, ND. Agnes was married to Loren L. Nichols on April 16, 1955 in Hardin, MT. Agnes grew up on a farm in rural northeast Montana near Bloomfield, the ninth of ten children. Agnes will be remembered for her skills as a master flower gardener, and for keeping a meticulous home landscape. She was very proud of her Lutheran faith. She was deeply loved and respected by family and many friends. Until her retirement Agnes was employed by a Billings meat packing company. Agnes is survived by son John (Connie) Weiler, of Rapelje, MT; step-daughter Peggy (Wil) Keyser of The Dalles, OR; step-¬daughter Patsy (Ben) Steynen of Appleton, WA; step-son David (Corolyn) Nichols-Edison of Watertown, SD; brother Rudolph (Janie) Kittler of Brighton, CO; sister Pauline Sharbano of Fairview, MT; sisters-in-law: Bessie Kittler of Bloomfield, MT, Helen Sturgis of Sydney, MT; God-daughter/niece Cheryl Marcolina of Brighton, CO; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband Loren L. Nichols (2010); sisters: Ella Pauline, Hilda Regina, Ida Kathern, Alma Bertha; brothers: Willie Kittler, Adolph Kittler, Gatthilf Kittler. Service: A celebration of life service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, January14, 2012 at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Ave., Billings. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
