Bertha Old Bull

Bertha Jane Gardner Old Bull, 78, went home with the Lord on June 6, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Her Crow name is Ishbaaluuxaa Itche which means Sacred Rug. She was a Ties the Bundle and Piegan Child and was born on February 9, 1940 in Pryor, Mt to William Gardner, Sr and Ethel Flatmouth. She was adopted and raised by Leonard and Francis Old Dwarf. She married Lawrence Old Bull on December 18, 1959 and resided in Lodge Grass, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents and adopted parents, her husband Lawrence, Sr., sons Romeo and Lawrence Old Bull Jr and Nathan Old Dwarf, sisters: Ruth Gardner, Alfredine Old Crane and Betty Gardner. Brothers: Eddie Little Light, Gus Gardner, Robert Russell. Nephews Mitchell Hawk, Charlie ‘Man' Sees the Ground and William John Gardner, Nieces Usrula and Vanessa Gardner. Adopted children who preceded her in death: Myron Old Bull, Dennis Big Hair, Jr. Glennis Glenn, Arnie Stewart and Dominic Gardner. Maternal Grandparents Esther Bird Hat and Flatmouth, Daniel Other Black Bird, Paternal Grandparents Agatha Mountain and Thomas Gardner. She is survived by her son Curtis (Melanie) Old Bull, Daughters Veronica (Heywood, Jr.) Big Day, Sophia (Max) Old Bull, Valerie (Vince) Horsechief. Sisters Nellie (Max) Silverhorn, Kathleen, Claudia and Rebecca Flatmouth, Bonnie Hawk, Ardith (Lloyd, Sr.) Hogan, Shirleen Glenn and Claudine Dust.
