Obituary
Shirley O'Leary, 90 passed away at St. Johns Lutheran Home in Billings, MT on November 6, 2012. She was born in Milwaukee on February 17, 1922 to Herbert Rau and Irma (Knobel) Rau. Shirley was raised in West Allis, WI. After graduating High School, Shirley moved to Montana in 1946. A year later she met her future husband Barry Joseph O'Leary. Barry died on August 2, 1981. Shirley did secretary work but most of all she loved being a housewife. She enjoyed her hobbies creating beautiful stained glass, baking and cooking delicious meals, traveling and golfing with her family. Shirley was a volunteer at St. Vincent's Hospital for 40 years, working at the Cherrynook, and the gift shops. She also did Hospital visits for St. Pius. Shirley leaves behind her daughter Sharon A. Kummerfeldt, her twin siblings John and Judy Soderman, her grandsons Brett Hyers, Jason and Eric Kummerfeldt, her nieces Pat Jaffray, Peggy O'Leary, Kathleen O'Leary, Julie Majerus, and nephew Tim O'Leary and numerous grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Mary Sue (O'Leary) Hyers, her twin sister Bev Rau, sisters Tommie and June Rau, her son-in-law Alan Kummerfeldt. Service: Her Memorial Mass is Friday, November 9 at 3:30pm at St. Pius X Catholic Church, a private family interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, before Mass.
