Obituary
Susan Marie Oswald, born December 22, 1950, earned her wings here on earth and is now using them in heaven after she passed away in her loving husband's arms on January 2, 2012. Born in Lewistown to Joe and Barb Pirrie, she grew up in Hedgesville, MT and attended grade school in Shawmut. She later graduated from Harlowton High School in 1968. She attended Montana State University- Bozeman for two years and then moved to Billings to attend Billings Business College. She began working as a waitress and later worked for Frontier Chevrolet. It was at that time she met the love of her life, David Oswald. They were married on August 27, 1971 and recently celebrated their 40th anniversary. While married, they lived in Bozeman, Broadview, Billings, Wibaux, Glendive, Fromberg, and finally settled in Hardin where she worked at Big Horn Drug and 1st Interstate Bank. She retired in 2003. She was devoted and supportive of her husbands teaching and coaching career. The two of them spent quality time traveling, going to "the store", playing cards and board games, watching movies, and going camping. She also enjoyed going to the horse races, scrap booking, her Christmas bear collection, coin collecting, watching game shows, playing on the computer, keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries and voting for her favorite American Idol each year. Susan's family was the center of her life. She was proud of their accomplishments and encouraged them in all of their endeavors. Susan is survived by her husband; children, Chris (Jeannett) Oswald, Brian (Paula) Oswald, Maria Oswald; grandchildren, twins Anthony and Jasmine, Samantha, Derek, and Xavier; her parents; brother Jeff Pirrie, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Susan was a friend and wonderful caregiver to our family. I could do my job I loved at DCC because I had Susan and the Oswald family care for my youngest, Rebecca. My thoughts and prayers for all of you at this time. She is a memory that I have tried to live by, honest and caring. Diane

Dave and family, Thank you for calling and informing us about Susan. Your family is very special to Terry and I and Susan will be greatly missed. I now if Terry were here he would be coming with me on Saturday to the mass. He especially, David, from working with you in the shop for so long felt your loss and wants you to know how sorry he is. But knowing that she is walking with the King of Kings is a blessing. Our love and prayers go out to all of you at this time.
