Dale Owen

Dale A. Owen, 68, died passed away early Saturday morning, July 3, 2010 of cancer. He was born to Emmett and Trella McDaniel Owen on June 8, 1942.Dale went to Roosevelt School in Red Lodge. He loved to work on cars. He was a good mechanic and detailer and worked at Archie Cochrane Motors, Frontier Chevrolet and Ryan Oldsmobile. He also did security work and worked many years on the Steinmetz Ranch.Dale is survived by his wife, Marcia, of 42 years; daughters: Kimberly Johnson of Kellogg. Idaho, Darlas Owen and family, Diane Owen and family, Dessirae Armendariz and family all of Billings, and Dawn Owen and family of Mexico; sons: Deven Owen of Kevin, Montana and David Owen of Billings; sisters: Maxine Miles of Roundup Nursing Home, Cathy Owen of the Seattle, Washington area; many nieces and nephews, 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild with another on the way.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Norma Donelson and brother-in-law Norman Donelson.We would like to thank Riverstone Hospice for all of the wonderful staff and the care they gave Dale right up to the end. We would also like to thank the Billings Clinic Cancer Center and especially Dr. Tom Purcell, Diane Jones and all of the nurses for the wonderful care they gave Dale.Memorial Service for Dale will at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 8 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Cremation will take place. A private family burial of ashes will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Owen family at 732 Howard, Billings, Montana 59101.
