Robert Parrett

Our beloved and dearest dad, brother, uncle, brown grandpa and nino, Bobby, 68, went home to be with the Lord August 31, 2018. He was born April 10, 1950 to Josephine Monroy and Julio Slevira. Bobby attended Billings public schools and Job Corps before enlisting in the U. S. Army in 1968 during the Vietnam War Era. During his service Bobby received the National Defense medal and Parachute badge and was honorably discharged in 1972. Bobby came back home to Billings where he worked as a chef at the Northern Hotel and had various other jobs throughout his life. Bobby was well respected by all those he came across and was very knowledgeable on any topic you wanted to converse about. He had three children, Mario, Bobby and Nisha Diza, whom he adored and loved very much. Bobby was always a ladies man and loved all women, especially the ones close to him. He had nicknames for all his nieces and had a special place in his heart for them. Bobby loved to cruise and listen to the oldies and Mexican music. He had a lot of friends that he enjoyed having a few drinks with, tell jokes and share big laughs. Bobby's favorite team was the Denver Bronco's and he was always up for betting others on the games and give crap to those that favored another team. I guess you could say he was quite competitive, a grand hustler and a jack of all trades. He is survived by his children, Mario and Nisha Diaz; brother, Donald (Pato) and Frankie; sisters, Charlene, Doris, Maria and Gloria; grandchildren, Aliyas, Estavia, Iliano, Melina, Elexas and Shaylynn; great-granddaughter, Olivia; and his one and only Goddaughter, Estrella Reyna “Bubba”. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Diaz; sister, Lucy; brother, Richard; uncle Leo Gutierrez; and grandparents, Abelina and Jose Gutierrez. There are too many relatives and special friends to mention, know that he loved each and every one of you. Dad, Brother, Uncle, Brown Grandpa and Nino, we will always love and very much miss you with all our hearts…until we meet again. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Mountview Cemetery with full military honors. There will be a reception at the American Legion, 1540 Broadwater Ave, immediately after interment.
