George Payovich

George Payovich, 71, died at his home on Friday, October 11, 2013. George, was born on February 22, 1942 in Washoe, Montana to Krista (Christo) and Mary Louise Brunner Payovich. George's first job was at P.A.Y.S. Public Auction Yards. He had a passion for cutting meat and worked for both the Pierce and Midland packing companies. After the packing companies closed down, George took up truck driving and operating paving equipment. His hobbies included being a jack of all trades, helping people, hunting, fishing, sheepherding with dad, cooking at family reunions, riding his motorcycles and enjoying his Ford Mustangs. George leaves behind a sister, Marie (Samuel) Giovetti, his five children, George (Shelley Kennan) Payovich, Kirk (Karla) Payovich, Vickie (Brent) Robinson, Larry (Stacy) Payovich, Krista (Wes) Phillips; 9 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Kristo and Mary; brothers: John, Bob, Paul; sisters: Donna, Betty and Dolly. Cemetery: George's ashes will be laid to rest in the Red Lodge Cemetery. Service: A memorial service for George will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Red Lodge Community United Church of Christ.
