Jason Pfeiffer

Jason Lyle Pfeiffer was born on June 16, 1968 in Billings, Montana to Linda (LaCounte) and Jackie Pfeiffer. Jason attended Billings Public Schools and graduated from Billings West High School in 1986.In 1991, Jason enlisted in the U.S. Navy and attended the Naval Academy in San Diego, California. Upon graduating from the Academy, Jason served as a communications officer on the Flagship U.S.S. LaSalle during Desert Storm. Jason received an honorable discharge from the Navy and lived in California for a few months before returning to Billings.Jason married Renaye Harris on June 29, 1996. They have three children Destiny 18, Calvin 12, and Izabella, 9.In January, 2004, Jason joined the National Guard. He trained at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and then was deployed to Ft. Lewis, Washington where he served with the Military Police Unit.Jason loved going to the mountains to fish and hike with his Grandpa LaCounte and his brother Jared. He also enjoyed listening to his 80s music collection and watching movies with his family. His latest fascination was genealogy and spent many hours researching family history.He was a perfectionist at anything he did and was conscientious with his work and put forth every effort to do the best he could. He had a beautiful warm smile and a tender heart. Jason passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Pfeiffer, his paternal grandparents, Linden and Emma Pfeiffer and his maternal grandmother, Venice LaCounte whom he adored.He is survived by his wife, Renaye, children Destiny, Calvin and Izabella. His sister Tisha (Travis) Thomas, his brother Jared (Traci) Pfeiffer, three stepsisters, Dana, Chris and Kelli, his mother Linda Mitchell and stepfather Allen, his Grandpa Willard LaCounte, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including his lifelong friend and childhood companion Jim White and family. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.Jason, my loving son, I love you so and will miss you terribly. Until we meet again ~ Mom.Visitation will be from 12 to 4 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel with Interment at Mountview Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
