Emery Petty

Emery Leroy Petty was born on November 12, 1938 in Sidney Montana to John and Norma (Bower) Petty. On August 28, 1965 Emery married Lorraine Mae Koffler in Billings. Dad and mom went on to have 3 children Brian, Danny, and Missy. Dad worked at Sweet Heart Bakery before going into truck driving. He worked long days to make sure we had what we needed. Dad quit driving and worked at Lake Hills Golf Course until he retired due to his emphysema and COPD. He enjoyed woodwork, gardening and fishing. Dad was very skilled in many crafts, everything he built was done right. He finished the inside of our house on Red Wing Circle. He was working on a grandfather clock for many years and was unable to complete it. Dad let Brian have the clock and between dad's woodworking skill and Brian's finishing skills it turned out beautiful. Thankfully he was able to see it complete before he passed. Dad was a very caring person. He would give you the shirt off his back to help you out, especially his children. Growing up we always knew we were loved,. including every pet we ever had. Whenever he would say no to getting another dog or cat we knew he would help spoil them. Dad is survived by his loving wife of almost 52 years, Lorraine and his children, Brian, Danny and Missy. He is also survived by 5 grandkids and 3 great-grand kids. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dad was the last one of his immediate family. He missed his mom dearly as she passed at an early age, when dad was 5. He also missed his brothers and sisters. He is able to be with them again to make up for lost time. We will see him again when it's our turn. We love you Dad, you will never be forgotten. Love, your family
