Obituary
On September 17, 2017 our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Terry Jean Plain Bull departed from this present life to her eternal home in heaven. Alilíia baaxpéesh, Sacred words of the Lord, Indian name given by Helen Iron, born to Cyril Plain Bull and Arvilla Townsend on August 19, 1957, in Billings, MT. Frank Plain Bull raised her by Indian adoption. She excelled in Academics graduating from St. Charles Mission School, Plenty Coups High School and from MSU-Billings in 1998. She was often awarded many ribbons and awards for good grades. She was listed on the Dean's list and in the book of Who's Who in her college years. Terry Jean was a hard worker helping her family in doing ranch chores like feeding cows, irrigating alfalfa fields, mowing hay, running the baler and stacking hay. She also raised and trained Quarter horses. She loved all kinds of animals, cattle, horses, cats, dogs and chickens. She was a true cowgirl. Terry Jean had exceptional love for all her nieces, nephews and grandchildren considering them all her own. She followed them as they competed in sports like basketball, cross country, track and field events. She was their #1 fan. She had a relationship with her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She demonstrated her life by her actions and seeking the Lord in her times of need. Hobbies that she enjoyed were beading and making buckskin outfits for the family. She loved the mountains, camping, hunting, cutting and peeling teepee poles and gathering firewood for the winter for her family. She believed in the Crow Culture and always was respectful. She was also the Crow Fair Rodeo Queen in 1974. She was picked on her horsemanship skills. In her later years, she worked with Elias Goes Ahead Sr. in helping Crow Tribal Allottees. Many people relied on her knowledge of tribal laws governing land owners. Survivors include her son, Gary George Carlson Plain Bull, grandson Cyril Trent “Baby George” Plain Bull and her mother, Arvilla Plain Bull. Her brothers include Larry C, Gerry (Virjama), Jerry Allen and Frederick George Plain Bull. Sister, Marilyn Not Afraid. Adopted brothers are Willie Plain Feather and Russ Powers. Adopted daughters: Maleena and Tyleena Crazy Mule (Petrie and Princess). Her lifelong friends include Donna Jean Spotted, Rhoda Driftwood, Vickie Stewart and Donna St. Pierre. Uncles: Ralph Iron Jr., Bruce, Edward, Raphael Iron and Norman Morrison, Elias Hugs Jr. and Leo Thomas Hugs and Chester (Ethel) Bird Hat. Aunts: Daisy A. Iron, Clara Belle and Beldean Hugs, Rosalee Turnsback and Gwendolyn Plain Bull. Nieces: Missy Hardy, Rosie, Stephanie, Tanya, Victoria and Mercedee Plain Bull, Jewel Greenwald, Tina Red Star and Cece Jones. Nephews: Darin Scott, Cyril Allen, Elias, Frederick Thomas, Leo, Terry Gilbert, Willie, Jasper, Buster Plain Bull and Chey White Clay. Other grandchildren: Caleb, Donovan, Jessie, Abbey, Alex, Miya, Cody, Drayson Plain Bull, Amos and Arvilla Chandler. She was preceded in death by her father, Cyril, sisters; Mary Rose Plain Bull, Marlene Red Star and Elizabeth White. Nephews; Mickey Rides Horse and Mikie Plain Bull. Uncles; Frank and Larry Plain Bull Sr., Starr Not Afraid and Garland Iron. Aunts; Paulette Williamson, Aileen Not Afraid and Irene Good Luck. Maternal grandparents, Fred Townsend and Rose Plenty Good. Paternal grandparents, Caleb and Miranda Bell Plain Bull. Grandchildren Ieshia Crooked Arm and Mitchell Chandler Jr. Other family members include the Morrison, Yarlott, Hugs, Not Afraid, Plain Feather, Turns Plenty, DeCrane, Goes Ahead, Medicine Crow, Lion Shows, Rock Above, Flat Lip, Big Day, Bell Rock, Old Horn, Good Luck, Horn and Bird Hat. Our family is large so please accept our apologies if we have forgotten your name. Vigil Service will be 6:00 pm Friday, September 22 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. I liked her she was good woman and she was an inspiration in my life I miss her she passed away a few days after my birthday she didn’t let anything bother me and gave me what I wanted and I wished i could do something nice for her back that is because she is my grandma I’m Cyril Trence plain bull
