Obituary

James Bryan Price passed away Nov 3, 2016 in Billings, Montana. He was born to Reed and Libby Price on Dec 12, 1958 in Tillamook, Oregon. The family moved to Billings in 1960 where Jim was raised and attended school. Two of his greatest childhood achievements were becoming an Eagle Scout and hitting a grand slam home run for his all-star team! After graduation, he moved to Portland, Oregon where he spent the next 30 years. He was married to Roberta Baldie and had twin sons, Kevin and Allen, who were followed 18 months later by their “triplet” Phillip. They were later divorced. Jim was passionate about fishing, especially sturgeon and steelhead on the grand Columbia River. He performed medieval warfare reenactments on friesian horses and also entertained children making balloon animals and swords as Splash the clown. Among his vocations were hydraulic repairs, building maintenance, and stable manager. He loved his longtime special friends, donuts, fireworks, lobster, Kung Pao Chicken, vacations with his boys, riding Sam the horse, and his dog Annie. In 2011 Jim returned to Billings, Montana for family support due to health reasons. He stoically endured incredible pain for over 10 years. Jim is survived by his 3 sons Kevin, Allen (Trisha), Phillip, sisters Pam Willett (Tracy), Marsha Price, brother Rob (Sandy), and granddaughter Athena. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Following cremation, burial will be in Nestucca Valley Cemetery, Hebo, Oregon next summer. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and memories may be shared at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
