Ernestine “Renẽẽ “Ramirez was born September 12, 1949 to Pedro Pereda Ramirez and Frances (Vigil) Ramirez in Billings, Montana. Our much loved mom passed away in Billings on January 13, 2015. Renee is survived by her children Pete Ramirez, Michelle Gasek (Bob), Jamie Ramirez (Jaye) and Julia Arvizo. Nana or grandma Renẽẽ, as she was affectingly known, leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her much loved siblings: Domingo Hernandez “Uncle”, Elizabeth Castro “Niche”, Genevieve Ramirez “Veva”, Francis Vasquez “Tanky” and Teresa Rodriguez “Terry”. Renẽẽ is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Tia much. She was preceded in death by her beloved Dad; two grandchildren and two nephews. Our mom was very creative, enjoyed gardening, cooking and having coffee with her siblings/close friends. She loved life, people, keno and telling a good story. She struggled with illness through her life but always managed to smile. She made friends easily and was always willing to lend a hand. Special thanks to the wonderful Doctors and staff at Billings Clinic, your compassion and care was truly amazing. A celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Family and friends will gather for a luncheon immediately following the ceremony. Cremation has taken place. Renee will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in a private family ceremony at a later date.
