Marvin Rickman

"Your life was a Blessing, Your Memory a Treasure...You are Loved beyond words and missed beyond Measure." Marvin Ora Rickman was born on September 17, 1945 to Ora and Floette (Pinkard) Rickman in Ralston, WY. Marvin passed away in his home on December 26, 2018 with his wife by his side. He went to soar with the eagle he loved so much. Marvin was the youngest of four children; he had three older sisters. Marvin grew up on the farm in Ralston, Wyoming. He lost his dad at a young age but grew up to be a kind man who opened his home to everyone. Marvin graduated from Powell High School. He attended a few years of college at NWCC. Marvin was also lucky to have had two women who loved him unconditionally and four children. Marvin moved to Billings, Montana with his first wife Mona Lesile and they had one child Sheryl Ann. In 1989, Mona passed away unexpectedly leaving Marvin and Sheryl heartbroken. Marvin than tried his luck again at love and met his current wife Audrey and her three children Amy, Chris, and William. Marvin married Audrey in 1994 and helped raise her three children like his own. He shared his love of camping, fishing, hunting, woodworking, leather working, and household repair with his children and grandchildren. Marvin worked for AcuSports for 32 years and saw the company change names three times. He loved his customers and cared for them greatly. Marvin said he sold "Big Boy Toys" and he loved it. He was very good at his job and enjoyed helping others love the outdoors as he did. Marv or "Big Red" volunteered for the O'Donald Fire Station and now Lockwood for several years. Marvin enjoyed helping his sons go through Boy Scout and Order of the Arrow. He was a Cub Master for Pack 26 and a parent volunteer for Troop 10. He was a Packers fan from the beginning of time. He enjoyed watching Super Bowl with his family even if his team wasn't in it. After Marvin retired he enjoyed spending his days with his wife and grandchildren. He was teaching his grandchildren how to work with their hands and how to use tools safely. Marvin and Audrey had an open door policy and had several children and their friends in and out. His heart was always full when his house was full. He is survived by his wife Audrey, daughters Sheryl (Earl) White, Amy (Ryan) Swenson; sons Christian (Kathy) Bentley, William (Amanda) Bentley; grandchildren Christopher White, Danyelle (Andrew) Torpy, Kadence, Quentin, Jaxin Bentley, Caleb, Colby, and Izabel Bentley, Joshua and Evan Swenson and great-grandson Jeremy Torpy. He was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Floette Rickman, two sisters Phyllis Risk and Roberta Johnson, granddaughter Brittany White, three brothers-in-law, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
