Ruth Robinson

Ruth Robinson, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Butterfly Homes Assisted Living in Billings, MT. She was born November 9, 1918 in Cohagen, Montana, to John and Christine (Nelson) Flippin. She grew up on her father's small farm and ranch, attending a small country school, and graduated from Cohagen High School. After graduation she worked in Miles City and on September 14, 1941 she married Bruce Robinson of Cohagen. After five years of working in a trucking business they bought a ranch south of Billings where they farmed and ranched 42 years. Ruth loved the country life where she and Bruce could see God's magnificent creation, the lofty mountains in the distance, the beautiful flowers and the birds singing as she walked the pastures, the sparkling of the snow as the sun shone on it, more beautiful than diamonds, and the starry heavens at night – all more than she could comprehend. Bruce died of cancer in November of 1988. Ruth continued to live at home for another ten years after which she moved to Aspen View Assisted Living Home. Her daughter, Deborah (Owen) Hake died in 2006. Ruth is survived by beloved nieces and nephews, including Frieda (Rocky) Howey, of Billings. Memorial donations may be made in Ruth's name to Westside Baptist Church, 323 S 32nd St. W., Billings, MT 59102. Service: Funeral Services for Ruth will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at Westside Baptist Church. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
