Betty Rock

Betty Luella Rock, 87, of Billings, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community. She was born April 29, 1923 at Sedan, Montana near Wilsall, the daughter of Henry and Nina (Hunter) Woosley. She grew up and attended school in Sedan, where they rode their horses to school. She was a graduate of Bozeman High School. On June 20, 1942 she was united in marriage to William Thomas Rock in Columbus, Montana. They lived in Livingston where she worked at Mountain Bell as an operator. She raised their family and then went back to work at AT&T. They moved to Billings in 1949 and she retired in 1982. Betty was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was a caring person, continually giving and helping people. She enjoyed children and animals. Betty is survived by her children, Tom (Shirley) Rock of Discovery Bay, CA, Jim (Linda) Rock and Kathy Case, all of Billings; grandchildren, Scott, Stacey, Stephanie, William, Jessie, Brittaney, Jimmy, Jeanna, Dave and Nick. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; brother Allen Woosley and sister Mary Dobler. Betty exemplified family and selflessness. She remains the saint in her afterlife as she was in her living. We miss her. Service: Cremation will take place and interment of ashes will be in the family cemetery at the Woosley Ranch at the foot of the Bridger Mountains at a later date.
