I knew Chris since December 2016 until early 2018. I found out about Chris's death through a dream that the Lord gave me a few years back. That dream was that he and I were running a race together, smiling and having fun. As I finished the race and looked back to find him, he was not there. When I looked up his name and saw this, my heart broke. Though I was living in a different country at the time, I still remember his voice... The memory of the calls that he and I had are slowly fading away from me. Sometimes I blame myself for his death because of the last messages I sent him. I forgave myself but the regret still pains me day by day. I wanted to write something on here for a while but, now it was the right time for me to finally write. If I could tell him one more thing, it would be this:
Chris, I'm so sorry that I sent you those mean messages. I was frustrated about so many things that were going on with my life. From moving back to the US and helping out my parents settle back to America after living in Africa for a couple years, there was a lot going on. I'm sorry that I let all that anger out on you. You never deserved those messages that I sent you. I still remember the last message you sent me. You were always so kind and loving towards me and you didn't deserve those mean messages. Though the memory of you, from your voice to the calls we had, are slowly fading as my life goes by, I will always love you. You will always be the best boyfriend I could ever have. I'll never forget the love that you shown me after all these years. Hopefully, I will see you behind the gate of heaven and I would give you the biggest hug that you needed. I miss you Chris...
