Frankie Saylor

Frankie Sue Saylor, 72, died of natural causes on Oct. 20, 2018 in Billings, MT. Born Aug. 18, 1946, Frankie was the only child of Benjamin and Hazel Bowers. She grew up and graduated from high school in Roundup, where she was a cheerleader, majorette, and Worthy Advisor of Rainbow Girls. After school, she moved to Billings and married Joe McGinnis, and they had daughter Margie in 1971. She later married Donald Blevins, and they welcomed daughter Dawn Marie in 1974. She later married Dave Saylor. Frankie worked for years as a home health care aid, where she brought much laughter and comfort to her patients. Previously, she worked at Easter Seals, Warbonnet Inn, MetraPark, Buck's Bar, and Sam's Place. When not busy chatting to friends and family on the phone, Frankie could often be found reading a mystery. She was known for her love of animals, especially horses, and she took in and cared for various cats and dogs (and even a rabbit) over the years. For years, her dog Misfit was a neighborhood favorite. Frankie was very creative and always involved in some kind of craft project, from making wreaths to crocheting to creating beaded tapestries. She loved to laugh and be involved in pranks, including many water balloon fights in the neighborhood. Frankie could always bring a smile to others, and she will be dearly missed. Frankie is survived by her daughters Margie McGinnis and Dawn Marie Blevins, their children and grandchildren, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at Mayflower Congregational Church at the corner of Poly & Rheberg in Billings on Sat. April 13 at 2 pm.
