Obituary
Bernadine Elaine Schaaf, 79, of Billings, passed away on May 25, 2017. Bernadine was born Jan. 9, 1938 in Hebron, ND to Paul and Eva Schaaf. Bernadine was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Genevieve Schaaf and Valentine Schaaf and by her best friend and companion, Milton Stringer. She is survived by her siblings, Vivian Michalies, Carol (Floyd) Kimmel, Eva Larson, Paul (Kathy) Schaaf, Mary Ann McLelland, Terri (Randy) Devitt and Jerry Schaaf, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Doris Backus and her wonderful staff at Autumn Springs for their loving care of Bernadine. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service at a later date.

When we moved in next door to your mom/grandmother one of the pleasures I had was visiting with Bernadine. Whenever she was at home she would come over to see me. Often wondered about her over the years. God's peace neighbor.
