Anavie Schaeffer

Anavie Jo Schaeffer, 64, passed away May 22, 2014 at St. Vincent Healthcare. She was born on March 22, 1950 in Craig, Colorado at 6:15 in the morning. Since that day every person who was poor, handicapped, or downtrodden and came in contact with her received a kiss of compassion, dedication, love, dignity, and respect. Anavie lived her life with purity and a sacred love for those who would not find such treasures anywhere else in their life. She forced a level of respect and compassion for those who received neither upon anyone who would listen. Anavie worked for Buttrey Foods, and when it was bought out by Albertsons she continued to work there as Deli manager until her retirement. Anavie worked very hard all of her life to help raise two sons with her husband of 41 years. She set high standards for ethical conduct and personal responsibility for everyone around her. She spent the last seven years battling infections from an amputated leg which ultimately led to her demise. She is survived by her loving husband John Schaeffer, her two sons, Jason Schaeffer and Ryun Schaeffer, and her grandchildren Amber Schaeffer and Nick Higgins. She will be greatly missed.
