Dennis Schmidt

Dennis was born December 11, 1939 to Jacob (Jack) Schmidt and Magdalene (Maggie) Kautzmann Schmidt in Bismarck, North Dakota. He attended grade schools in Billings, MT and graduated from Central Catholic High School and Eastern Montana College of Education. Dennis married Bonnie J. Geisler and was proud to help her raise her two children, Larry and Kelley Geisler. Dennis enjoyed music, bowling, fishing and a good joke. He worked for KOOK Radio and other stations in Billings. He also worked as a massage therapist for about 8 years until being disabled from a stroke. He married Dorothy (Dotty) Lowman on Feb. 27, 2011. Dennis died from complications of diabetes on April 22, 2016. He is survived by his sister Dalyne (Jim) Hull of Texas, sister Donelle (Arlyn) Shrum; step-son, Larry Geisler and wife LaVonne; step-daughter Kelley Little and husband Gary; grandsons, Adam (Jen), Eric and Alex Geisler, Benjamin (Elysia) Little, and his favorite granddaughter, Summer Little of Portland, OR, and his dear wife of 5 years, Dotty. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016 at American Lutheran Church, 5 Lewis Ave. Burial will take place in Mountview Cemetery following the luncheon after his service.
