Cliff Seavey, 81, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Advanced Care Hospital of Montana in Billings. He was born to Paul and Dorothy (Ashmore) Seavey on May 3, 1931 in Smithland, IA. Cliff was the oldest of the couple's three children. After graduating from Central High School in Sioux City, IA, he served in the Army. On February 14, 1956, Cliff was united in marriage to Kay Munger. The couple lived in Butte, MT for 1 year while Cliff worked as a miner, then in Loomis, CA for 50 years, where Cliff worked as a professional home builder and cabinet maker. They moved to Red Lodge, MT in 2008 and then to Billings in February of this year. Cliff was known for his love of the outdoors, his sense of humor, and his willingness to help friends and neighbors. He enjoyed many different activities during his lifetime including diving, fishing, hunting, golf, camping, hiking, and riding dirt bikes and quads with his buddies. Left to cherish Cliffs memory are his wife Kay Seavey of Billings; sister Ramona (Dennis) Puls of Hoskins, NE; Kristi Miller of New Dim, MN and Lori Schneider of Fallbrook, CA who were like daughters to him; along with nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dick Seavey.

I was blessed to have known and loved Cliff (and Kay) for 37 years. Cliff believed that the "life in your years" was more important than the "years in your life" and he made the most of his time on earth. I will miss you, old friend. Thanks for so many wonderful memories.

Cliff was my neighbor for 23 years, and my husbands best friend. Somehow, over the years, and especially after my husbands death, he became my supporter, cheerleader, teacher, and such a good friend to me. I love him, and will miss him so much. He passed on the 6 year anniversary of his buddy's passing, and i like to think maybe he had a personal escort!

It was great to see, talk and laugh with Cliff on my recent stopover in Billings. I well remember the early days with Cliff on the Feather river - what a time we had. He would run his boat close to ours - make a sharp turn and soak everybody with spray - then laugh for all the fun he had. Rest well Cliff. Love ya Kay
