Obituary
Marie Helen Sherman, 92, was called home to God early November 25, 2010 Thanksgiving Day. She was born March 28, 1918 in Worden, Montana and grew up working on the family farm. Later she worked for Judge Jamisen, Dr. and Mary Honaker, Vaughn Ragsdale and Anthony stores. In August 1941 Marie married Edmund Sherman and they had seven children. She also raised two sisters after the death of her parents. Marie loved cooking, sewing, cards, puzzles, her special watch dog, Zoey, and most of all her family. She was loved by all who knew her and always had a kind word for all. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Sherman; her parents Frederick and Anna Schneider; five brothers Fred, John, Pete, George and Dan Schneider; three sisters Margret Sherman , Ann Foos and Johannah Sherman. She is survived by her children: Ed Sherman of Gillette, WY, Bruce Sherman of Thornton, CO, Jim Sherman, Judy Sherman, Harry Sherman (Sue), Melody Reighard and Joe Sherman, all of Billings; nine grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters Leona Stanhope of Billings and Louise Bonneau of Worden. Marie will be greatly missed by all who know her, especially her family. The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice and A-Plus Healthcare for all the kindness shared with Marie over the years. Service: Vigil Services will be 6:00 p.m. Monday at Dahl Funeral Chapel and Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church. Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

I wanted to share that I am deeply sorry for your loss. It was truly an honor to be able to work with Marie for the short time I had with her. To All- I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Marie was such a huge part of our family and my life. As you know, we were all devastated when my father died and Marie just kept us going. She allowed my mother to grieve and did so with such dignity and support. I have trouble with two kids. She had two families of kids - remarkable. However, I did make the fatal error of swearing in front of your mother once and only once. I just wish she could have used a more "flavorful" soap than Ivory. Love to all of you and we will truly miss Marie. She was quite a women.
