Paul J. Sherman, 20, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2019. He was born on July 14, 1998 in Billings. He grew up on the family farm in Ballantine and enjoyed helping his dad work on the farm. He graduated from Huntley Project High School in May 2017. In 2016, he followed in the footsteps of the men in his family and chose to serve his country by enlisting in the Army Reserves. He loved to spend time with his friends and family and doing outdoor activities. As he was growing up, he spent many hours hunting, fishing, hiking, and riding his dirt bike. Paul joined the school band when he was in 5th grade and his instrument of choice was drums. He played in the school band until graduating, exceling at his instrument and being chosen to play with the honor band. Paul was a hardworking and well-loved young man. He is missed by many. He is survived by his father, Delbert; mother, Melissa; sister, Brittany; brother, Loren; nieces and nephews, grandparents as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Funeral services will be held at Yellowstone National Cemetery Monday 11:00am. Family and friends are to meet at Dahl Funeral Chapel by 10:00am.

I had the pleasure to meet this young man through my many grandchildren who he befriended. Paul was one of my grandsons best friends. We lost our grandson on Sept 2015 and when Paul and Devon Bagley played guitar and sang at Zacks funeral service, they touched my heart. To see the love these young men held for each other and thier many friends who were also present was a brotherly bond that won’t be surpassed. Rest easy young man as God has other plans for you now. I know that you are singing in the angels choir now.

I had the honor of meeting Paul through his girlfriend Maddi. Paul is an amazing guy and it breaks my heart to see him gone so soon! Paul would drop whatever he was doing to help another friend or family member out. Paul you were like my big brother, I needed advice so bad the other night I almost texted you😭 I miss you, your smile, and all the great advice you gave me over the past 3 years! Rest easy up there Paul! I know your watching over all of us down here now! You maybe gone but you are NEVER forgotten by anyone who met you! Love and miss you Nemo🧡🖤

A few years ago, Phyllis invited Brittany and Paul to join us for Chinese for lunch during one of our trips through Billings. It's the only time I had a chance to really visit with him. Jim was impressed by his polite manner and how nice he seemed. Though he hardly knew me, he gave me a hug and said, "I love you Auntie." I wish I'd had more time with him, and I look forward to the day that I see him again. God speed, son- love from your Aunt Penny & Uncle Jim.

Delbert and family: I resided in Worden when my son Cody was born......I was lucky enough to enjoy the friends we made there, and among them were Robin and yourself. You may not remember us, but you were all good down home people who helped others out and were true friends indeed. God bless and sorry for your loss.
