Obituary
Valarie Renee Papka Slevira, mother, daughter, sister, friend and second mom, was born April 28, 1973 during a massive snow storm to Ken and Deb Papka in Billings, MT. Valarie passed away peacefully on October 13, 2014. Valarie grew up in Billings and in 1994 she married Vincent Slevira. Together they raised three children and after 20 years of marriage, divorced. Valarie recently met a very special friend, Jody Howard, who made her happier than she had been in a long time. Valarie is survived by her children, Nate (18), Marena (16) and Marissa (14), and their dad, Vince; furry children Sadie, Moose and Bambam; parents Ken and Deb Papka; sister Mindi (Shawn) Hatch; nephew Dylan Hatch; her ‘adopted' kids and numerous other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to your local animal shelter. Val, hopefully in heaven you will never have to wear shoes, you will always have your “blankie” and may the bottle of Malibu never be empty. Heaven just gained one hell of an angel! Val, you were part of our family long before you and Vincent said I do! It was always great to see you at family gatherings and bonfires in Shepherd! I think you were happiest when you had your kids and fur babies around you! It is touching to read the posts from all the kids who thought of you as their Mom, what a tribute and legacy you leave! May you continue to watch over your children! Spread your wings and fly!

I am at loss of words. Val you were a wonderful woman. It is so hard to read your obituary. I will always have the memories from all the Christmas'. My eyes still water when I think about you. You are with grandpa and grandma and uncle Virgil in heaven now. Rest in Peace.
