Audrey Jean Smith, 77, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana. She was born September 24, 1933 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Randall and Mary (Nogowski) Fletcher. She grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Humboldt High School. On July 19, 1952 she was united in marriage to Francis “Herb” Smith in St. Paul. They moved to Billings in 1965. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she played the organ. Audrey loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was devoted to her family and taking care of her son Mark who had several physical challenges. Audrey is survived by her sons, Greg Smith of Edmonds, WA and Mark Smith of Seattle; brother Kenneth Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband Herb in 2007. Service: Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Service: Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2010 at St. Pius Catholic Church with Committal of ashes in Mountview Cemetery. Greg, So sorry to read about your mom today in the Billings Gazette. I know that you lost your Dad too, in 2007. We lost Mom last April '09. Its hard and I hope you are doing alright. I remember Aunt Audrey mostly from our trips to Billings and we stayed with all of you. She was always kind to me. I last saw her by chance about 22-23 years ago when I attended a photography showing of Uncle Ken's in downtown Billings. She looked so much like Grandma Fletcher it took my breath away.
