James Blank

James Blank (Jim) was born April 18 1937, in Basin Wyoming to Edward & Ruth Blank; he had two brothers Harvey and Gary and two sisters Martha & Mable. He married Mary Ann (Saldana) Blank on November 3, 1959 in Dillon, South Carolina. The couple has five children Karla Sheeley of Colorado, Jim Blank of Nevada, Teresa Sellars of Montana, Pam Winters of Wyoming and Christopher of Nevada; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Jim served in the Army for 11 years. He retired in 2000 after working at Big Horn Co-op and AC Supply for many years. Jim's favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, reading his favorite western books and of course watching his Bronco's play football. He also was very proud of his yard and worked very hard at it, especially when the town of Basin awarded him several times with the "Yard of the Week" recognition. In 2014 the Blanks sold their home of 45 years and moved to Billings, Montana; it was a hard adjustment but necessary for health reasons. Jim enjoyed shopping at Wal-mart (since they lived very close); he also enjoyed going out to eat and being able to watch the airplanes land and take off at the airport and of course going to his favorite casino place! In 2015 he had his first of many stays at the hospital, until finally in late February he passed away quietly at home with family.
