Obituary
Barbara Jean Spoonemore, 71, of Billings passed away on November 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Billings on February 23, 1947 to RW and Vivian Spoonemore. Barb graduated from West High in 1965 then attended MSU Bozeman, where she became a proud Bobcat. She met and married Dale Norby, and they had three beautiful children together. Jami, Jodi, and Justin were her pride and joy. She would do anything for her family. Barb was a 3 time breast cancer survivor. She fought and showed us what strength truly is. She was passionate about Relay for Life. She was a warrior. Her passions included gardening, camping, traveling, volunteering, drumming group and various women's clubs and she found her true calling in life when she went into home healthcare. She took care of so many people in their time of need. More than anything else in this world, Barb cherished her family, her children, and especially her 4 grandchildren. She also loved to spoil her two dogs and cats. She is survived by her children, Daughter, Jami Norby (Lisa, Derek and Khloe), Daughter, Jodi Jordan (Russ) and Son, Justin Norby (Lisa); Grandchildren, Lindsay Dahrling (Phoenix), Chase Jordan, Seth Norby, and Zach Norby; Brother, Willie Spoonemore (Betty); Nephews, Jason Spoonemore (Tracey) and Ryan Spoonemore (Jen); and great nieces and nephews, Jordan, Colby, Jada, Kaden, Morgan, Rylee, Logan, Emma, Ashton and Jaxon. A heartfelt thank you to all of her many friends and coworkers with their help and great stories about our mom. Hers was a life well lived and she will be greatly missed. A special thank you to Vicki Laforge for her compassion and care. Services will be held at American Lutheran Church on Friday, November 23rd at 2 pm. Reception will follow at the church. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel and condolences may be left at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1903 Central Ave. Billings, MT 59102.

Dear Bill and Betty, So sorry to hear about Barb. I have been trying to call you , but the phone book I have is very old. Renee Noyes Mclure called me yesterday and had seen the notice in the Gazette and called me. I guess we pretty much lost contact over the years since Charlotte passed. I was sorry to read about the loss of your dear loved one. The bible gives us hope of seeing them again in the promised resurrection to come according to scriptures such as [John 5:28-29] and [Acts 24:15]. We find further hope in scriptures like [Isaiah 25:8] and [Revelations 21;3-5] which says in part that Jehovah God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, because God will swallow up death forever. I hope these scriptures will be of some comfort. My Sincere Condolences.

I am cousin of Barbara. Over the years have shared may family functions, loving the family gatherings. Over the past few years, I have not been as close as before. I was so very up set to here of her passing because of cancer. She was a special person and I will miss her. Caryl Noyes Luckett.
