Jessica Stanley

Jessica J. Stanley went to heaven September 5, 2017. She was born in Schell City, Missouri on October 5, 1937 to “Bill” Sylvan Ferrel and Helen (Popiel) Dye. She graduated from Dawson County High School in Glendive, MT. She enjoyed participating in plays and was known as the “Elizabeth Taylor” of the school. Jessica was preceded in death by her mother, father and beloved sister Mary Ann Horn.She is survived by brothers: Gerald and wife Carol of Billings, Robert of Maryville, TN, Don of Las Vegas, NV, and Richard and wife Carolyn of Billings, their children 4 nieces and nephews, 6 grandnieces and nephews. Jessica was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Her 7 children are: Brad Stanley of Kennewick, WA, Brian Stanley of Billings, Shelly Stanley-Lehman and husband Jason Lehman of Billings, Debbie Stanley of Gillette, WY, Kathy Stevane and husband Blake of Ft. Collins, CO, Steven Stanley of Billings, Karen Stanley of Billings, Marvel Brey of Billings and daughter-in-law Velma Zelmer of Bismarck, ND. Grandchildren: Eric Stanley, Robert Stanley, Patrick Stanley, BreAnn and husband Ernie Lopez, Jordan Castro and wife Hayley, Ryan Frank, Riley Lehman, Andrew Alva, Brandon Chavez, Christopher Chavez, Sarah Vladic, Devin Stanley, Larz, Van, MaryAnne and Aiden, Jessie, Sylvan, Zachary, Nicole, Dylan and Wyatt, Donovan and wife Lorren. Great-grandchildren: Karley, Sean, Dane, Jayce, Cameron, Kain, Nathaniel, Jaxon, Isabellah, Isaiah, Maximus, Mariah and Natalia Brey. She is also survived by the many lifelong friends of the children who spent many hours with Mom. Whether needing advice or just someone to listen, or to watch sports, always with good food to calm and comfort any situation. Jessica was employed by S.S. Kresge for 12 years as a food manager while also working at Archer's. She ran the Cobb Field baseball concessions and was, to their surprise, EXTREMELY successful. What a great time we all had! Jessica worked for Alternatives, Inc. for 25 + years as the kitchen and food director. She built close relationships with management and staff. The residents respected and appreciated her throughout her career. She was very inspirational and brought encouragement and hope for many throughout the years. Jessica was a very strong and determined woman. She approached everything with a positive attitude and a smile. No matter the struggle she kept faith that it will all work out and get better. If you ever had a conversation with Jessica you would quickly realize she loved sports. Her knowledge of sports was called on by many. Go Redskins! At all family gatherings Jessica was the hostess. There was great food and a lot of it, homemade everything. Jessica was always supportive, never to pass judgment. Her love was never doubted; she was always there. Oh how you will be missed. Until we meet again, we all love you, Mom.
