Florence Stevens

Florence Stevens, 95, of Billings passed away Saturday, September 12, 2014 at St. Vincent Healthcare. She was born April 19, 1919 in Missoula, the daughter of Chester and Ruby (Fulks) Baldwin. Florence was a talented musician who taught many students how to play the piano. She loved music, playing, and being with her musician friends. She spent many hours looking at photos of her many friends and relatives. She was loved by many and she loved visitors. Florence is survived by Richard Ames, her partner of 38 years; son Arlyn (Linda) Vietz; Richard's children: Julie Robinson, Jeanne Morrison, Greg Ames, Mike Ames, Sheila Knoepke; Clarence;s daughter Beverly Latham; sister Lyndell Maude; grandchildren Carla Grewell, Pamela Burton, Cindy Schaefer, Mike Christiansen, Ruth Schlichenmeyer, Amy Christiansen, Bryce Vietz, Megan Vietz, Nanette Vietz; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Francis Christiansen, Clarence Vietz, Ralph Stevens; sister Wilma (Russ) Angwin; son Dale Christiansen; grandson Craig Christiansen. Those who grieve her passing: Some will say, “there she goes,” others will say “here she comes.” I love you, I will miss you! You were a wonderful lady. You were a blessing.
