Iran Stewart

Iran Joe Stewart Sr. departed from his loved ones Sunday, July 3, 2011. Iran was born May 23, 1959 to Daisy Leider and Lincoln Stewart. He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Woodrow Stewart; 3 sisters, Elda Big Day, Irma Other Medicine, and Laberta Rondeau. He is survived by brother Willie Stewart, two sisters Kathy Leider, Maudine Stewart and 9 grandchildren. Iran Joe Stewart was married to Alee Birdhat for 23 years; they divorced in 2007. He had 3 children Iran J. Stewart Jr. and Abby Stewart of Crow Agency, MT and Mariam Stewart currently deployed in Kuwait. Iran attended school in Oregon and Washington. He completed his training in heavy equipment by the age of 16 years old. He worked at Sarpy Coal Mine where he professionally operated and trained heavy equipment for 20 years. He also attended Billings Vocational Training Center where he completed a course in welding. Iran loved spending time with his children going hiking, attending drag races, and traveling with his daughters. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, and distance running and training with his daughter. Iran's faith in the Lord kept him strong and healthy as he enjoyed life with his family. He was a devoted father and hard worker who will be missed. Cemetery: Interment will be in Crow Agency Cemetery. Visitation: Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Service: Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9 at Four Square Church in Crow Agency.
