Harlan Charles Sun Goes Slow died peacefully Sunday evening at the age of 79, on August 2, 2015. He was born October 24, 1935 in Lodge Grass, Montana. Harlan was predeceased by his beloved mother May LaForge , his father Stephen Sun Goes Slow, his brothers Thomas Sun Goes Slow and Gerald Sun Goes Slow, and his sisters Martha (Phillip) Beaumont, Ruby (James) Simpson, and Sarah (Irvin) Sings Good Stewart. Harlan was dearly loved by his family, including his sisters Angeline (Norman) Whiteman and Rosie (Earl) Bear Crane, his nephew Phillip (Vivian) Beaumont, Jr., and his nieces Louella (Frank) Merchant and Colleen Simpson. He was a Crow Tribal member of the Greasy Mouth Clan and a child of the Piegan clan. Thomas LaForge, Jr. gave Harlan the Crow Indian name Isahpeh Bisheelaxpe (Leather shoes). He lived in Lodge Grass, Pryor, and Billings. He loved his dog Ben. He enjoyed being outdoors, chopping wood, drinking pop, and collecting caps. The vigil for Harlan will be 5pm Wednesday, August 5, at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Ave. in Billings, Funeral Mass will be 11am Thursday, August 6, in Lodge Grass at Our Lady of Loretto. Rite of Committal to follow the mass at the Lodge Grass Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the staff at Dahl Funeral Chapel.
