Darrell Terry

Darrell Loren Terry Darrell Loren Terry of Billings, Montana passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2014 at the age of 78. Darrell was born in Seattle, Washington on August 12, 1935 to Albert L. Terry and Aileen (Stevens) Terry. He enlisted into the Navy right after college. Darrell was a multi-engine aviation Instructor in Seattle, before becoming a bush pilot in Alaska after receiving his commercial fix-wing pilot's license. In September 1982, Darrell became a Merchant Marine Officer. Darrell belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was in the Elks for 31 years. When Darrell moved to Billings, he retired from flying planes. He worked for the City of Billings for more than 5 years, taking care of the trail system. Darrell enjoyed going to the VFW in the Heights, listening to good acoustic music, and having a few drinks with friends at Bugz's Bar. Darrell was a good person and he did many great things in life. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son Carl Terry, and sister Chrisanne Terry. A gathering to celebrate Darrell's life will be held at Bugz's Bar in the Heights, on Wednesday August 6, 2014. Memories may be shared at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
