Obituary
Stuart Thomas passed away on August 11, 2010 at his home. He was born on June 11, 1967 to Rodney and Barbara Thomas in Park River, North Dakota. They moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota in 1968 where he lived until 2001. Stuart graduated from Red River High School in 1985 at Grand Forks and attended the University of North Dakota. He was employed as a caregiver at A.W.A.R.E. since 2001.His hobbies included fishing, photography and he was an avid reader. He also enjoyed watching movies.He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Kenneth and Ruth Ostreim and his aunt Karen Ostreim.Stuart is survived by his mother, sister Carmen Thomas of Billings, nephew Noah Thomas, Brother Justin Thomas of North Carolina, Uncles Carl Ostreim and Raymond & Cindy Ostreim of Rolette, North Dakota. Also cousins Christina, Simone, Kendell and Leslie Ostreim and numerous friends and co-workers.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at American Lutheran Church. Interment of ashes will be at a later date in Rolette, North Dakota.Dahl Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Stuart was a great man and friend. He WILL be missed by many and and remembered forever. He always had a way to cheer people up and show just how caring he was. He was great at his job and definately took the job title "Caregiver" literally. We will all remember his passion for cooking and love for people forever. Thanks for being such a wonderful person Stuart!! Until we meet again!
