Trena Lee Thompson, 77, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2017 at 8:50am at Billings Health and Rehabilitation Center. Celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date. Trena was born in Cleburne County, GA on January 10, 1940 to Arlin and Gladys (Whitley) Hanvey. She was united in marriage to Richard Dean Thompson on June 17, 1961 in Lanesboro, MN. They moved to Harlowton, MT in 1992 after living in Hebo, OR since 1975. Survivors include sons, Chris Cox of Park City, MT and Raybon Dean Thompson of Tillamook, OR; daughters, Tammy Smudde of Big Timber, MT, Tina Thompson of Hebo, OR and Tonya Chase of Big Timber, MT; brother, Gerald Hanvey of Fairburn GA; sister, Maylene Burdette of Fairburn GA; and 10 granddaughters, 12 great-grandsons and 11 great- granddaughters. Trena will be greatly missed.

Trena,, I am saddened to hear of your passing. Your loved ones are broken and will have the year of firsts and will continue to hold you close in their hearts. "KIds", your momma was so blessed to have you all by her side. Trena was a wonderful friend, mom, grandma and great grandma. She will always be in my heart as a dear friend for so many years even though we hadn't kept in touch as much as we should have. I love you Trena may you rest in peace and dance with Richard in heaven.
