Obituary
Don Boespflug, of Billings passed away on April 22, 2016. He arrived on earth June 22, 1942 in North Dakota, the oldest of three brothers. In 1956, the family moved to Billings MT. Don attended Billings Central Catholic High School and then North Dakota State School of Science. Don was an adventurous person that liked to repair, build and modify. He owned and operated several gas station/repair shops, but his passion was Volkswagen and Porsches. He was employed at the local V.W./ Porsche dealership, but opportunity knocked and different dealerships wanted his abilities. He then went to Great Falls, Butte and Idaho Falls. Don always wanted to run his own business, so he returned to Billings and started his own independent, successful V.W./Porsche repair center (DON'S AUTO HAUS ) that lasted for almost 30 years. And during this time, he also developed the family property into a mobile home park. After selling Don's Auto Haus, He decided to start Billings Radiator Service. But after a few years, health issues became a problem. Don always liked to cook; he then decided to get into the catering business. He designed and built very successful concession units that pleased people for several years. But due to his health problems he could no longer continue this adventure. Don was one of the few individuals with very big, down to earth and common sense ideas to make life enjoyable. Don always had medical issues during his life, but he always kept going and never gave up. How many people can truly make this statement! Don has now joined his brother, Rapheal (1963), father Ray (1965) and mother Veronica (2004). He is survived by daughter, Rochelle; brother, Gerald (Yvonne); niece, Melissa (Anthony); and nephew, Jacob (Laci). Thanks to the staff at Park View for the previous Physical Rehab Program, Dr. Neal Sorenson and the staff at St Vincent Hospital for their help. A special thanks to his friend and neighbor, Julia Pennington. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Little Flower. I worked with him in the late 60's. I can still see him sitting on top of the carburetor adjusting the points on his car. i think it was a Crown Victoria. This was at the old Heights Enco. Dick Casad

Great guy and great mechanic... called on his shop back in the 70's and 80's.. his fabrication work in making "trikes"was amazing..RIP Don...you are a child of God! My prayers are with the family at this time. Jim Rye

Rochelle and Jacque: Billie told me of Don's passing this past weekend. I am very sorry for your loss. I just opened the Billings Gazette to see is Obit. He has moved to that special home with God - he is now at peace no longer hurting. God's Graces and Blessings during this time of sadness and loss.

Harry Merchant I don't know how many times over the past few years that I saw Don on the patient list when I was called in as chaplain at St. Vincent Healthcare. Each time I would stop by his room to visit, and he was always glad to see me. His health was not good, but he never gave up on life. His heart was weak, but always generous. I will be out of town Friday and unable to attend his funeral, but my prayers are with Don and all of his friends and family.
