Billie Jo Tupper, 78, of Billings, passed away April 9, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Home. Billie Jo was born June 3, 1934 in Merryville, Louisiana, to Mason and Billie (Yawn) Smith. She married Alden Ray Tupper in 1959. They lived in Huron, SD for twenty years where she was an active member of the Huron Christian Church. She taught speech pathology privately and for the school district. Alden and Billie Jo moved to Billings in 1982 and she taught speech pathology for the Billings Public School District until she retired in 1997. They were members of the Valley Christian Church where she remained a member until her death. Billie Jo loved to travel, collect cookbooks and angel figurines and read mystery novels. She also enjoyed music and dancing, but especially loved her strawberry milkshakes. Billie Jo is survived by her children, Tasha (Bret) Jones of Cheyenne, WY, William (Julie) Tupper of Maplewood, MN and Paxton (April) Tupper of Meridian, ID; brother-in-law, Gordon (Julia) Tupper of Greenville, MS; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Alden Ray Tupper. Service: Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013, 10 a.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel.

Sending love and prayers to each of you who Mother Tupper loved. Memories of her take up so much more space than her tiny frame. She loved music, whether it was a toe-tapping melody of a live band playing under a tent at an Iowa girls' get-away or dancing to "Run, run Rudolph" as we prepared for a Christmas party. Her sense of fun, the twinkle in her eyes, her quiet grace and her love for us are treasures we store in our hearts.

Little did we know when Alden & Billie Jo came to visit us to see our new baby, that they would, by marriage, become membera of our family. We are less because she is no more, but we are more because she was part of our lives. We share your loss and send you our love and hugs.
