Coralee Turnsplenty

Coralee Turnsplenty, 61, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 27, 2015 at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, MT. She was born June 12, 1954 to Edward Daniel and Elizabeth (Chandler) Doney in Fort Belknap Agency, Montana. She was raised in Hays until she started high school in Harlem, Montana. There she lived with Patty and Jack Quisno who became part of her family and remained close. Coralee moved to Billings to further her education at Billings Business College and worked at Indian Health Services. At that time she met Chester Turnsplenty and they were married. Coralee returned to college and earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Billings VoTech. After graduating, Coralee went to work, using her skills to help people; she worked as a nurse, eventually to be a home care nurse, dedicated to helping the elderly and homebound. Coralee's biggest joy was spending time with her children, and later, her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She took great pride in providing for her family, shopping frugally for little gifts to surprise her “kids”. Coralee is survived by her children Dan (Traci) Turnsplenty, Josh (Drew) Turnsplenty, Lisa Turnsplenty; grandchildren Adriana, Josie, Estevan, Debra, Dani, Troy, Michael, Lilyian, Nicole, Jacob, Jonah, Joshua, Cyrus; siblings Elouise Geiser, Camie Doney, Al “Baka” Chandler; special nieces and nephews Tracy, Bryan, Steve, Cheri, Jami, Mickey Spencer. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Turnsplenty; parents Elizabeth and Edward Doney; siblings Mary Jo Doney, Percy Plummage, Aurelia Spencer, Les Chandler, Aloysius “Bugsy” Chandler, Jr.; daughter Laura Turnsplenty; grandson Noah Turnsplenty. A celebration of Coralee's life will be held at St. Charles Mission in Pryor, MT at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Interment will follow immediately after at Turnsplenty Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
