Carol Bolin

Carol was born April 9,1935 to John and Natalie Popovich. She was the second of three daughters (Pat & Sherrie.) Cookie passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Nov 12, 2018. She grew up in Billings attending Fratt and graduated from Central High School. She married Bob Bolin on Dec 27, 1952 and was blessed with 3 wonderful sons: Bob, Brad and Brent. Carol was employed with the Clerk and Recorder's office for 22 years and was a very talented decorator with a passion for arts, crafts, and antiques. She was always “dressed to the 9's”. She had a passion for the outdoors, especially ice skating and according to dad, “they loved to ski with the kids, but couldn't ski for #%$!.” She had a strong faith in the Catholic church as she volunteered for numerous activities and passed her faith along to her grandchildren. She was happiest hosting holidays, birthdays, and any family gatherings. Carol was preceded in death by her parents (John & Natalie), and her sister Sherrie Smith. She is survived by her husband Bob of 65 years; her sister, Pat (Jack) Ross; sons Bob (Chale), Sandy, Brad (Pam), Brent (Kathy) and her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. We would like to give a special thanks to all the caregivers during her final years. Carol will always be remembered as a loving sister, friend, wife and mother. There will be a Vigil service on Monday 11/19 at 6 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St Thomas the Apostle Church on Tuesday 11/20 at 10 am.
