Robert Wallis

Robert (Bob) Everson Wallis passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Cedar Wood Nursing Home in Red Lodge, Montana, where he had resided for 16 years. Bob was born to Clifford and Jessie Wallis, their only child, on September 29, 1928. Bob spent most of his life on the family dairy/cattle ranch northeast of Red Lodge along Rock Creek. He graduated from Carbon County High School in 1946. Bob and his mother, Jessie, moved into Cedar Wood Nursing Home in October 2002, several years after Cliff passed away. Jessie passed away in January of 2005. Bob greatly missed his mother, who lived in the room next to his. Bob and Jessie were lovingly taken care of by Leroy and Shirley Pollock, visiting them at least twice a week, for lunch and long drives. Following Leroy's passing (May 2011), Shirley continued visiting Bob, Leroy's cousin, at least weekly for lunch and a drive by the family ranch and to Bear Creek. Bob always mentioned the Smith Mine disaster of February 27, 1943. (Leroy's father, Gavin, & Jessie were brother & sister). Thank you to the loving staff at Cedar Wood for being Bob's “family” the last 16 years. No services are planned.
