Walburga Walsh

Walburga “Rose” Walsh died October 14, 2017 at her home in Billings, Montana surrounded by family. She was born to Russian immigrants, Dominick and Katherina (Schaan) Job, on February 7, 1927 on a farm north of Wibaux, Montana. She was one of 14 children. Rose met Ray Walsh in 1947 soon after his discharge from the Army after serving in World War II. They married in 1949 and resided in various parts of Montana and California and North Dakota before settling in Billings in 1970. Rose had a strong faith in God. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church since 1970 and volunteered in various capacities. She loved her grandchildren and was so proud of them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, in 1990 and siblings, Dominick Job, Carolyne Schuhrke, Marie Kammerer, Leonard Job, Louie Job, Ralph Job, Katherine Zinda and Frank Job . She is survived by siblings, Eva Parker, Annie Pearson, Tom Job, Agnes Miesaloski, Olivia Jimison; two daughters, Jackie Preimesberger and Roxanne (Jeff) Allen; grandchildren Cherisa (Jason) Ryan, Chelsea (Tim) Erhart, Ryan, Leah and Kara Allen; 5 great-grandchildren. Rose will be forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to RiverStone Hospice. Visitation for Rose will be 10 am to 7 pm Wednesday with the Vigil starting at 7 pm at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday, October 19 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
