Obituary
At the age of 48, Kerry Booke of Huntley, our beloved father, son, brother and uncle died from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident on Sunday, April 24, 2011. Kerry was born in Billings on September 13, 1962, the son of Glen and Vivian (Fisher) Booke. He grew up near Billings, attended Canyon Creek School and in 1980 he graduated from Bridger High School. Kerry was a self employed entrepreneur buying and selling automobiles and land. He was an avid bow hunter, and his passion was to teach others the love of hunting. He was a true Montana outdoorsman. A cowboy at heart, Kerry enjoyed helping friends and neighbors move cattle and brand. When he was younger, he raised horses and lived the cowboy life. Kerry was a kid at heart; children and fun came first. He wanted everyone around him smiling and laughing. Kerry loved teaching people the many things he was passionate about. He just liked the people around him to be happy. The most important parts of Kerrys life were his daughter Lacey and his dogs, Cassie, Troy and Junior. He was an amazing Dad and did everything possible for his daughter. I give my deepest sympathy for Lacey and her family. Kerry has very deeply impacted my life. He has been a friend of mine and my landlord for the past 2 ½ years. And friend of my brothers for more than 12 years. Kerry and I have helped each other in so many ways; I don’t even know where to start. My first story, my sink was leaking underneath. Kerry had me hold the flashlight under the cupboard to look for the leak. That was a mistake! I got soaked from above; it ended up into a huge water fight. Both of us ended up on the floor laughing in a puddle of water. That was a blast. Last Mothers day he showed up on my sidewalk with a new lawnmower. The first thing out of his mouth was Happy Mothers Day, now get off your butt and get to work. I helped Kerry with all the yard work and what maintenance that needed done around his places. Another good one, I painted the fence around my house. Kerry came by left for a couple of hours, came back with five gallons of white paint and had me repaint the entire fence because he didn’t like my choice of color. I learned not to do anything without his approval. I didn’t even date anyone until I met the man that passed his approval. That is how much Kerry meant to me as a friend. When my dad passed he was the first there to help, along with his friend Doug.No words could describe our gratitude of how much they were appretiated.Kerry's memories will fill my heart for a long time. I will miss his Glowing smile, our talks and his sense of humor. I thank the Lord that Kerry is sitting by; that I was blessed to of shared so many memories with him. Yes, I know Kerry. A smart woman is the one who starts her sentence with “A man told me.” I love you my friend. You are a wonderful man.

My heart aches for you and your family Lacey. Since learning of his death, I've spent many moments during these last days thinking of so many memories shared with your dad. My favorite has to be when he and Monte brought all you kids to my house to go sledding. It was a wonderful day, all brought about to make you smile. You were doctoring during that time and he wanted to put a smile on your face and let you laugh a little. He planned that outing for you. Being a 'big kid' himself, I think he had more fun than all the rest of you, and it let him laugh and smile a little too. After you guys left, you got stuck in the snow and Monte was worried and your dad laughed and giggled the whole time. The only think he asked for was more 'chocolate chip cookies' for the ride home. He was so generous, taking care of others. I remember when I gave him that little border collie pup, his words were "no one has ever given me anything like this...thank you". He was such a giving person, he was not used to accepting generosity or gifts in return. He was one of a kind, and has forever stamped a place in my heart. I pray that you and your family find some comfort and peace in the memories you read here. God Bless you all!

Kerry was a great friend to my husband, I meet him about 2 yrs ago, he always had a smile on his face and made my kids laugh. The last time I saw him, we had Kerry laughing so hard he doubled over, my son was wearing cowboy boots for the very first time and it really struck him funny the way my son walked.I will never forget that.. My daughter always told me the Kerry was "her bestest friend"..and we was. David Hofer - I'll miss him very much. He was a joy to be around, and even though he was always playing tricks on me by putting misc. garbage into my boots when we were doing installs together, I never did get even with him, he always managed to outdo me in that department. He was a big fan of eating breakfast at pryor creek bar, and many times we'd be late and have to call our orders in ahead of time. I know he's in heaven as me and him talked about Jesus a lot. I 'll see him again some day for sure. Can we play pranks on others in heaven? If so i'll try to get even.

Glen, Viki, Deb, Mike & Todd: We were saddened to here about Kerry. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this terrible time. We didn't know Kerry well, or see him often, but from reading the other messages he, like his parents, was a very special person and was loved by many. Our sympathies go out to you.

I was so saddened to hear of Kerrys passing. I didn't know him in later years but enjoyed him as a boy growing up on Danford. I do remember Kerry working on one Gary's cars and Gary really thought he was a GREAT GUY. It was always special to me that our sons were born on the same day, 9/13/62 and we hooked up about 5 years later when we moved out on 50th St.and became friends. I'm sorry I didn't make it to the memorial but I had 4 bus runs on that day. I will be praying for you and your family. I know from experience now that these kind of happenings are hard to take and Lord knows you have had enough of them to bear. I'm not good at expressing myself under these circumstances but just know God will help you through. Janet58efe
