Obituary
Jason David Webinger was born on October 15, 1966 in Billings, MT to Dave and Sharryn Webinger. He peacefully passed away on November 17, 2019 of cirrhosis at age 53, surrounded by his large, loving family. Growing up in an open and loving home with his four siblings, Jason had a passion for all kinds of music and absolutely loved the theatre. He cherished the holidays when he would spend hours with his mom baking Christmas treats for the entire family. Jason graduated from Billings West High, where he was very active in the Drama Club. He attended college at The University of Montana and Montana State University. Afterward, he went on to work in the banking industry and ended his career as an agent at Farmers Insurance. Jason was a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and was especially passionate about helping those less fortunate than himself. He had a love and appreciation for cooking, the arts, theatre, music, dancing and interior design - for which his downtown loft was featured in Magic City Magazine. Jason loved to experience other cultures, traveling to Germany, Austria, Italy and New York. Jason is survived by his parents, Dave and Sharryn Webinger; siblings, Shelly Theroux (Mark), Angie Gabel (Dale), Drake Webinger (Brandi) and Dani Whittmeyer (Curtis); nephews and nieces, Jared (Shariah), Kerry, Nico, Colton, Sydne (Garrett), Mckenzie (Matt), Brennan (Katy), Mishayla, Jakob, Alivia, Rhiannon and Bryson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Orolee Ford and Benedict and Dora Webinger; many aunts and uncles; and his longtime companion, Hannalore Carter. Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the Pub Station. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Angela's Piazza (angelaspiazza.com) or the Rainbow Coffee House (rainbowcoffeehouse.com). Jason would be happy knowing those less fortunate than him are being helped in his name.

Oh sweet Jason, Finally you are free from your demons. Let the love of your maker embrace you and love your “new self”. I always knew I could trust you to provide healthy support and mentoring to youth who were attempting to know there true self. Your easy way and your infectious laugh left us weak from laughter. I am so sad to know that Jason has passed. He and I reminisced recently about walking to elementary school together. Throughout the years, Jason was extraordinarily kind and supportive. Of course, he was also outrageously funny. I smile when I think of him in high school, when we traveled on the speech/drama team bus. Rest in peace, Jason. You were loved. Deepest condolences to your family.
