Hazel Webster

Hazel V. (Cassady) Webster, 99, passed away peacefully at Beehive Homes, Pleasant Grove, Utah, on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Hazel was born June 20, 1914, in Litchfield, MN, to George and Helen Cassady, the 4th child born to the family of 4 girls and one boy. Hazel married Wendell A. Webster, May 17th, 1933 and they had three sons, Jerome -1933, Robert -1936, and Richard -1947. Besides being a wonderful homemaker, she held jobs in the grocery field, (Ryan Grocery - Billings, MT late 40's), and later in the secretarial field, (Lockheed Aircraft, CA) and the City of Klamath Falls, OR. After her husband's untimely death in August 1975, her sons moved her from Klamath Falls back to her favorite hometown, Billings, to be near family. Here she worked many years with senior citizens at the local RSVP office prior to her retirement. While retired, she very much enjoyed watching baseball, doing crossword puzzles and collecting ladybug figurines. Her survivors include her sons, Jerry of Lincoln, MT, Bob (Donna) of Pleasant Grove, UT, Dick (Nancy) of Portland, OR; 18 Grandchildren, 35 Great-grandchildren, and 7 Great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by sisters Irva McCracken, Ina Christensen, Mildred of Minneapolis, and her brother, Wesley Cassady. Cemetery: Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Service: Viewing for Hazel will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, followed by services at 11:00 a.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Rev. Tim Hathaway of Billings First Methodist Church will officiate.
